Book your tour

Welcome to Literatours.

We currently run our classic tour of the literary history of Southwark three times a day:

  • Early bird express: 10am-11am (£10 pp)

  • Pre-lunch literary stroll: 11.30am-1pm (£20 pp)

  • Post-lunch reading ramble: 2pm-3.30pm (£20 pp)

Our tour is a gentle ramble around Southwark that takes in the haunts of Shakespeare, Dickens, Keats and Chaucer, with references to Zadie Smith, Oscar Wilde and others.

Our head guide is local writer and poet Adam RW. Our FAQs are below but please do reach out to us over email or Instagram if you have any questions.

What’s with your business model?

We used to be on TripAdvisor and GetYourGuide (and five-star reviewed) but they simply wanted too much and didn’t give us a great deal in return. So, here we are with our own booking platform to empower our guides and our walking tourists.

Who we are

Literatours was established by local writer and spoken word performer Adam RW. It is still run by Adam along with a collective of friendly local writers and artists who are our tour guides. Their passion for the local area and its literary history is why they run these tours.
