London literary tours - Shakespeare, Dickens, Keats & more
London might well be the city with the richest literary history in the world.
Round every corner is a scene, a park or a pub that has inspired at least one of the greatest writers in the English language.
My name is Adam and I run Literatours London. I am a local writer and poet and I am passionate about London’s literature.
The Classic Literatour is my love letter to London’s literary greats. The route incorporates several historic writers (Shakespeare, Dickens, Keats, Chaucer & others).
On the Classic, you will…
Explore the haunts of Shakespeare, Dickens & Keats with a guide who reads the books
Wander back alleys and hidden parks most tourists miss entirely
Hear some tales too salacious for the guidebooks
Be part of a small group – I do this to keep things personal and make sure each one of my guests has a great experience
I am running four publicly bookable runs of the Classic Literatour next weekend at:
11am and 2pm on Saturday 23 August and
11am and 2pm on Sunday 24 August.
The tour lasts 90 minutes, starts on Borough High Street and finishes outside Shakespeare’s Globe. It is priced at £20 per person.
I cap group sizes at 12 per tour to keep it personal - so spaces are limited.
About Me
Hello! I’m Adam - local writer, performer and ex-lawyer who has swapped courtrooms for cobblestones. I am the chap who will be guiding your tour.
Literatours is my love letter to London’s literary greats. I was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviewed on TripAdvisor and GetYourGuide before going fully independent this summer.
I bring London’s literary history to life with wit, heart, and the occasional bit of gossip and/or swearing (though will tone this down if there are kids on the tour).
I run publicly bookable tours in the footsteps of some of the capital’s greatest writers.
I also run bespoke private tours. I will script and devise a route based on your favourite authors for differents group, and generally do stag/hen-dos, book club outings and birthday parties.
Email me at bookings@literatourslondon.com or DM me on socials @literatourslondon for availability and booking.
